The Marist Basketball Club competes in Basketball ACT’s Junior Premier League and Juniors competitions.
In 2024, Basketball ACT returned to a two-season format, with the Winter season from March to September and Summer from October to February.
The club caters to players of all skill levels, across U12, U14, U16 and U19 age groups. We have a small number of U10 aged boys; they are graded and play in our U12 teams.
Games are scheduled in age-group blocks across the weekend, with teams training for an hour one afternoon per week.

Summer season 2024/25
Basketball ACT will run two junior competitions this summer.
Junior Summer Open (equivalent to Junior Premier League – JPL) will be played over 10 rounds plus finals.
The Junior Summer Open will be played on Friday evenings and starts with Round 1 on October 25.
Junior Summer Season (Divisions 1-6) will be run over 12 rounds plus finals.
The Junior Summer Season will be played on Saturdays and Sundays under normal competition rules and starts on October 26-27.
All players from beginner to elite are welcome to register.
Please note that Basketball ACT is only accepting club and private school teams in the junior competition for this coming Summer season (making it different to the previous two Summer seasons where you could make up a team of friends for Summer basketball). Marist College students must play for a Marist team.
