Registration – Summer 2026-27

Marist Basketball summer season registrations are yet to open in PlayHQ. The Club will update registration period dates once Basketball ACT opens the new season in PlayHQ.

Player Eligibility: To be eligible to play summer season basketball for Marist College Canberra, players must be either a returning student or a new student that has accepted a 2027 enrolment offer from the College.

Registration Fees: Players must pay all fees during registration. Families experiencing financial stress can discuss payment options with our President, Mel Berg, to ensure all our boys can play.

  • Club registration fee. The Marist Basketball fee covers team registration fees (these may vary between Junior Summer Open and Junior registrations), the purchase of uniforms and equipment, and club administration fees (including annual awards night presentations).
  • Basketball ACT registration fee. The Basketball ACT fee covers player insurance, maintenance of Basketball ACT stadiums, and competition and corporate management expenses.
  • Basketball Australia Development Levy. This levy goes to Basketball Australia to assist with their development pathways.

Registration fees are non-refundable. The Club pays fees to Basketball ACT based on team registrations and cannot refund individual registration fees except in extenuating circumstances. The club’s refund policy is on the website.

Transfers: If you are new to Marist and transferring from another Basketball ACT Club, please ensure you complete the player transfer process when you register through PlayHQ. If you have any questions about the transfer process, please contact the Registrar.

Parent support and call for volunteers: Teams rely on the support of volunteers to run the Club, especially as coaches and managers. Teams cannot take to the court without a registered coach and manager. Parents, carers, older siblings, and ‘old boys’ can support the club as volunteers! To volunteer please complete the expression of interest and register as a coach or manager in PlayHQ.

Please contact the club if you need assistance with registration.
