Game times: Basketball ACT has provided the following time slot guidance for the summer season competition. The scheduling of games within these time slots is at the discretion of Basketball ACT, and the club has no influence or say in when or where games are played. Boys playing multiple sports should consider potential clashes before to committing to summer basketball.

Age groups: Basketball ACT’s junior age groups are based on player birth years. All players are advanced, within and between age groups, at the start of the summer season each year. Age brackets for the 2026-27 Summer and 2027 Winter seasons are as follows:
U10 – 2018s
U12 – 2016 and 2017
U14 – 2014 and 2015
U16 – 2012 and 2013
U19 – 2009, 2010 and 2011
U10 boys (born 2018): Due to the small number of U10 boys within the Club, we believe their development is enhanced by incorporating them into our U12 teams. Boys are distributed across the U12 teams based on their individual experience and skill. To support this, the Club requests Higher Age Player approval from Basketball ACT for each boy, under their by-laws; and advises coaches and managers if they have Higher Age Players (U10s) in their team.
