The Basketball ACT Summer Season will run from October through to March, with a short break from mid-December to late January for the school holidays. Both returning and future students (boys commencing at the school in 2027) are invited to play summer season basketball for Marist; with the summer season providing an excellent opportunity for new boys to meet other students and become familiar with the College.
The club will conduct Junior Summer Open trials (Premier League) and Junior grading (Division 1 to 6) to establish our Summer Season teams.
Junior Summer Open Trials – Premier League
Under 12s | Under 14s | Under 16s
All players who are currently playing JPL, Div 1 and Div 2 are invited to attend our premier league Junior Summer Open trials. Junior Summer Open trials are completed in advance of the club’s Division 1 to 6 grading period to meet the Basketball ACT premier league trial window. Players who attend Junior Summer Open trials are not guaranteed a position in a Premier League or Division 1 team but will not be required to attend the subsequent Division 1 to 6 grading sessions.
Trials will be held in Marcellin Hall before school, from 7.00-8.15am, as follows:
Under 12s (2016, 2017, 2018) – Monday 3 August
Under 14s (2014, 2015) – Tuesday 4 August
Under 16s (2012, 2013) – Wednesday 5 August
Please register your son for trials and ensure he brings a reversible jersey, water bottle and basketball to the session that he attends. Please direct trial related questions to enquiries@maristbasketball.com.
